Staff Sgt. Jordan L. Bear, 25, of Denver,
CO, was killed in action March 1, 2012 , in Kandahar province,
Afghanistan, of wounds suffered from small arms fire during an attack on
his base. He was assigned to Company B, 2nd Battalion, 508th
Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team,.
SSgt Bear, a member of the Ponca Indian tribe, was buried
at Fort Logan National Cemetery. He was posthumously awarded the
Bronze Star Medal and the Purple Heart. |
