SSGT HAROLD J. BROGAN
Death Hits Four Times

   BOND, Ore. (INS) Death struck four times in two weeks at the Brogan family of central Oregon.
  First it was Sgt. Harold Brogan. of Portland, fatally wounded while serving with a paratroop unit in France.
  A few days later Pvt. Thomas Brogan, of Antelope, was drowned in Louisiana. His mother, Mrs. John Brogan, died in The Dalles, Ore., when told of Thomas' death.
   Then John C. Brogan, a pioneer in central Oregon died of a heart ailment at the age of 79.

SSgt. Brogan was killed in action on July 4, 1944 and was awarded the Purple Heart.
