C. Battle & Sons Funeral Home, 543 Rockdale, Friday after 3 until 10 P. M. Funeral services Saturday at 9 A. M. at the Greater Liberty Baptist Church, 6209 Desmond St. Interment, Spring Grove Cemetery. "Battle for Golden Service."

Grave marker for Cpl James N. Carroll, III in Garden LN, Section 139, Lot H, Space 280, Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati (Hamilton county), Ohio.

Cpl Carroll, a member of Company C, 1st Battalion, 508th Airborne Infantry, was killed by small arms fire in Quang Tri, Vietnam on 5 May 1968 and was awarded the Purple Heart.
