Grave markers for Vincent A. Clark in Union Chapel Cemetery, Indianapolis (Marion county), Indiana.

   Army Sgt Vincent A. Clark, 21, died July 27 of wounds inflicted by enemy artillery fire.  He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Clark, 5838 N. Oakland.  Clark was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School and attended Purdue University.

Ex-Clarks Hill Man Loses Son in War
CLARKS HILL Former Clarks Hill residents, Mr. and Mrs. James A. Clark, Indianapolis, have received word of the death of their son, Vincent, 24, in Vietnam.
   Sgt. Vincent A. Clark, who attended Purdue University, died Aug. 27 of wounds received from enemy artillery fire.
   He entered the Army 1967, was stationed in Germany three months, and had been in Vietnam since March. He was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis.
   Surviving with the parents a sister, Mrs. Constance Burroughs, Indianapolis.

Vincent Clark Funeral Set For Saturday
 
 Funeral services for Army Sgt. Vincent A. Clark, 24 years old, 5838 North Oakland Avenue, Avenue, who was killed Aug. 27 in Vietnam, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Flanner and Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary. Mortuary. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery.
   Sgt. Clark, who was killed by enemy artillery fire, had entered the Army a year ago. He was assigned to Vietnam last March.

   He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He had attended Purdue University.
   Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James A. Clark, and a sister, Mrs. Constance Burroughs, all of Indianapolis.

Four Hoosier heroes who lost their lives in combat in Vietnam will be recognized posthumously at special ceremonies at Fort Benjamin Harrison at 10 a.m. tomorrow and Friday.
   Their medals will be presented to their parents.
 Mr. and Mrs. James A. Clark,, 5838 North Oakland Avenue, will receive the Bronze Star with one Oak Leaf Cluster and the Purple Heart Friday for their son, Sgt. Vincent A. Clark, who was killed while serving as radio telephone operator August 27 with Company A. 1st Battalion, 508th Infantry.
   SGT. CLARK was wounded fatally by an enemy sniper during heavy battle.
