SGT THOMAS G. CROSS
The bodies of two Texas County brothers, killed in action in World War II -- arrived here this week for burial.

Funeral services and military rites will be conducted Sunday for S/Sgt. Robert E. Cross and Sgt. Thomas G. Cross, sons of Tom Cross, of Licking.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Houston Baptist Church by Rev. R. V. Heriford of Licking. Burial, with appropriate military rites, will be at the Emery Cemetery near Bucyrus, under the direction of Elliott's.

Robert and Thomas were born and reared in Texas County. Both lived near Success and attended local schools. In June, 1942, Robert entered service and was a tail-gunner on B-17's. He was killed in an air battle over Germany on December 30, 1943. He was 24 years old.

Thomas, 26, became a paratrooper after entering service in April, 1942. He was killed on D-Day when invading Europe. The official date of his death was listed as June 10, 1944.

Their father was visiting a daughter, Mrs. Beulah Irene Sanders, at Culver City, California, when the bodies arrived here. Mr. and Mrs. Cross and Mrs. Sanders returned to Texas County via a United Airlines plane.
