PFC OWEN CURLEY

Interment record and grave marker for Pfc Owen Curley at Plot J, Grave 14402, Long Island National Cemetery, East Farmingdale (Suffolk county), New York.

Owen enlisted in the Army at Boston MA on 6 October, 1942 and was assigned to Company A, 508th PIR.

Pvt Curley was transferred from Co A, 508 PIR to Co C, 347th Infantry on 31 May 1945.

Pfc Curley was killed in action on 9 April 1945 in Oberhof (Thuringia), Germany.

He was initially interred in Margraten Cemetery, Holland but his remains were repatriated and interred in the Long Island National Cemetery on 27 April 1949..
