Grave marker for Cpl Bryant Curtis DeLoach and his wife Lois (on right) at Section C, Site 442 in the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, California.

Cpl DeLoach was killed in action on July 4, 1944 and was awarded the Silver Star as well as the Purple Heart.

Bryant and Lois were high school sweethearts and they were married in North Carolina while Bryant was stationed at Camp Mackall.  Although Lois had remarried after Bryant's demise, she desired to be interred with him and fought hard to be granted the ability to rest there after her own death.
