1st Lt William  J. Garry

Grave marker for 1st Lt William J. Garry in Plot A Row 4-Grave 76 of the American temporary cemetery in Molenhoek, Holland.

William was severely wounded on 18 September 1944 in Berg en Dal, Holland and died of his wounds two days later.

Following the end of the war his family chose to have his remains repatriated and he was laid to rest in his native California.  The location of that final resting place is unknown.

Lt Garry's military decorations include the Silver Star and the Purple Heart.
