Pvt Hajek Killed
In Holland invasion
   A participant in the paratroop invasion of Holland last month, Private Hajek has been killed in action, his parents learned,
   Less than two weeks ago, Mr. and Mrs. Hajek received word that their 19-year-old son was missing in action.  Yesterday, they received the news that he had been killed in action.
   He was born in College Point and was a graduate of Public School 27 and Flushing High School.  Before he enlisted in February, 1943, he was employed at LaGuardia Field.
   A memorial mass will be offered at St Fidelis' Roman Catholic Church, College Point, Saturday morning at 10 o'clock.

Headstone Inscription and Interment Record shows that Pfc Hajek was disinterred from Plot A, Row 5, Grave 8 in the Mook Temporary Cemetery and laid to final rest in Margraten at Plot F, Row 2, Grave 14

Pfc. Hajek was killed in action on September 21, 1944 and was awarded the Purple Heart.
