Grave marker for Pfc Daniel E. Kuszmaul in the Oakwood Cemetery, Stryker (Williams county), Ohio

Pfc Kuszmaul was killed in action on October 20, 1944 and was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart posthumously.  His awards also included the Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB) for action during the Normandy, France Campaign, 6 June 1944 to 9 July 1944 and the Good Conduct Medal.
