2ND LT ARTHUR E. LANGE

Lt. A. E. Lange

   Lt. Arthur E. Lange, 28, son of Minnie Lange of 3625 East St., was killed in Holland Sept. 27 while serving as a paratrooper.
   A graduate of Perry High School, he had been in service for two years, and went overseas last August. He is survived by his mother; a brother, Herman Lange and three sisters. Helen. Esther and Lillian.

Arthur E. Lange enlisted in the Army as a Private in Pittsburgh, PA on 17 June 1942.

He was tapped for OCS and subsequently commissioned as a 2d Lieutenant.

On 9 August 1944, 2nd Lt Lange was transferred from the 11th Replacement Depot to Company H, 508th PIR with the principal duty of assistant platoon leader.

He was killed in action on 20 September 1944.
