CPL TIMOTHY K. MAHONEY

Texans Included On Casualty List
   WASHINGTON (AP)-Thirty-two servicemen killed in action in the Vietnam war were named Thursday in a Defense Department casualty list.
   Missing as a result of hostile action:

Army

Spec. 4 Claude Perry

Marine Corps

Pfc. Charles H. Gatewood.

Died not as a result of hostile action

Army

Pfc Timothy K; Mahoney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth S. Mahoney, 55 Houston. Trenwood Lane, Houston.

On 4 June 1968 Pfc Mahoney began his tour in Vietnam assigned to Co A, 508th Infantry

He died on 15 September  from a wound received while at an artillery fire base when a weapon accidentally discharged.

He was posthumously promoted to Corporal and was buried in Forest Park Cemetery, Houston (Harris county), Texas.

His military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (Merit) and the Purple Heart,
