Draft registration card for Henry C. Marriner, age 21,
resident of Roper (Washington county), North Carolina. Based on
stated age and date of birth the card was registered sometime in 1941.
Henry enlisted in the Army at Ft Bragg, NC on 4 June
1942. On 7 August 1943 Pvt Marriner was assigned to and joined
Company E, 508th PIR.
Pvt Marriner was transferred to the 990th Replacement
Station on 2 September 1943 and was subsequently transferred to Hq 1st,
504th PIR.
Pvt Marriner was killed in action in Anzio on 30
January 1944. His final resting place is in Washington county, NC. |
