PVT ROBERT R. McCOY
Mr. and Mrs. W. R McCoy of E. 5th Ave received word their son Pvt Robert R. McCoy, age 20, a paratrooper, was KIA 6/6/44 in Normandy.

He attended Central High and was employed by Curtis-Wright.

He enlisted 6 November 1942 and has been overseas for the past 8 months.

Grave marker for Pvt Robert R. McCoy in Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus (Franklin county), Ohio.

Pvt McCoy enlisted in the Army on 11 June 1942 and served in Company E, 508th PIR.  He was killed in action on June 6, 1944 and was awarded the Purple Heart
