Olson Funeral
The body of Corporal Carl
F. Olson, 27, of East Hill, Canton, who was killed in a parachute jump
while in training last Saturday night at Fort Benning, Ga., has been
returned to the Charles H. Vincent and Sons Funeral Home, Maple Avenue,
Collinsville.
Services will be held Friday at 2 pm. at the funeral home with Rev.
Russell Angell of Canton, officiating. Burial will be in Dyer
Cemetery, Canton.
Corporal Olson was born March 24, 1929 in Canton, a son of Carl a.
and Esther Olson. He was educated in Canton schools, and entered
the Army about six months ago. He was a member of Company C, 508th
Airborne Infantry regiment, Fort Benning, Ga.
Beside his parents, he leaves two brothers, David Olson and Howard
Olson, both of Canton; five sisters, Mrs. Louise Miner, Mrs. Norma Zils,
Miss Martha Olson, and Miss Diane Olson, all of Canton, and Mrs.
Christine Russell of Beacon Falls, Conn., and several nieces and
nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home today 7 to 9 p.m.

Rites
For Cpl. Olson
Funeral services for Cpl. Carl F. Olson, 22, of Canton,
who was killed last Saturday at Fort Benning Ga., in a parachute jump,
were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the incent Funereal Home,
Collinsville.
Cpl Olson was the brother of Christine Russell, Beacon Falls.
