SPC-5 ERNEST PAYNE

Louisiana Soldiers
Listed As Dead

   WASHINGTON (AP)--- The Pentagon has changed the classification of two Louisiana soldiers previously listed as missing in Vietnam to dead as a result of hostile action.
   Reported Friday to be dead were Spec. 5 Ernest Payne on of Sir. and Mrs. Richard Payne of Baton Rouge, and Spec Michael J. Juneau of Morrow.

Ernest enlisted in the Army on 18 January 1967.

On 5 May 1968, Spc 5 Payne, a Medical Specialist, in HHC, 1st Bn, 508th Inf, was killed by multiple fragment wounds. near Hue, Thừa (Thiên-Huế Province), Vietnam.
