T/5 JAMES P. PERRONE

Burial record and grave markers for T/5 [Corporal] James P. Perrone in Locust Grove Cemetery, Ellwood City (Beaver county), Pennsylvania.

James enlisted in the Army at New Cumberland, PA on 14 March 1942.  Pvt Perrone later volunteered for parachutist duty and was transferred to Hq 3rd, 508 PIR on 21 March 1943.

Pvt Perrone was promoted to the grade of T/5 on 6 November 1943.  He was killed in action on 12 June 1944.

His military decorations include the Purple Heart and the Combat Infantryman Badge, both awarded posthumously.
