Grave marker for Pvt Gladwin L. Roberts at Section C-25, Site 14441 in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pvt Roberts was a member of G Company.  A native of McLean Country, North Dakota, he enlisted at Fort Snelling on February 15, 1943 and after completing jump school was assigned to this regiment.

He parachuted into Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944 and was killed in action 12 days later. It is ironic that his remains were subsequently repatriated and now rest in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Pvt Roberts was awarded the Purple Heart.
