Grave marker for 2nd Lt. V. Lloyd Sheehan in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket (Providence county), Rhode Island.

Vincent, or Lloyd as he preferred to be called, enlisted at Ft Devens, MA on 2 February 1942.  His enlistment record shows that he had completed three years of college and that is probably why he was quickly shunted intro an OCS class.

Two years later he appears on the Company D Morning Report as a 2nd Lt. assigned as S-2 for the 2nd Battalion.

2nd Lt. Sheehan was killed in action in France on 2 July 1944
