2nd Lt Arthur F. Snee was killed on June 6, 1944 in Normandy and was awarded the Purple Heart

He was initially interred in the American Temporary Cemetery in Ste Mere Eglise Temporary Cemetery II, Plot E, Row 9, Grave 178 (see simple wooden cross, leftmost image)   [NOTE: Francis Mahan inadvertently labeled the photo as being n Molenhoek, Holland]

Following the war his remains were repatriated and he was laid to final rest at Section 12, Plot 5500 in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA
