PFC HAROLD C. STILLS

Greene Youth IS War Victim

   Greenville --- Harold Stills, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Stills of Greenville, has been reported killed in Vietnam.
   The family received word Monday of the youth's death.  He was the 13th Greene County serviceman killed so far in the war.

Grave marker for Pfc Harold C. Stills in Burnetts Chapel Baptist Cemetery, Greeneville (Greene county), North Carolina.

Harold was drafted into the Army on 18 January 1968 and less than a year later, while serving with Company A, 508th Infantry, died in Vietnam on 6 December 1968.  His death was attributed to "accidental self destruction."

His military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal.

Harold's name is engraved on Panel 37W, Row 53 of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC
