PFC JOSEPH G. THOMAS

  Pfc Thomas died of Typhoid Fever complicated by Malaria & Peritonitis on July 26, 1968 while serving with Co. C of the 1st Battalion, 508th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division.
   Pfc Thomas is the son of Mrs. Catherine M. Thomas of 2431 Prospect Avenue, Bronx, New York, and the husband of Mrs. Barbara A. Thomas of 410 East 155th Street, Bronx, New York,

Joseph enlisted in the Army on 15 November 1967 and started his tour in Vietnam on May 2, 1968.

His military awards include the Distinguished Service Cross, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal. and the Parachutist Badge
