PFC  LUTHER M. TILLERY

Reburial services for Pfc. Luther M. Tillery, Dallas paratrooper killed March 14, 1945 in France, will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at Weiland Funeral Church, 2909 Live Oak [Texas]..

Private Tillery was born in Dallas October 7, 1922. He was graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, where he lettered in football two years He also attended Texas A&M College prior to entering the Army January 14, 1943.

Tillery was a member of Headquarters Company, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, a part of the 82d Airborne Division. He participated in parachute jumps during the Normandy and Holland invasions and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Tillery, 917 Cristler. He also is survived by a brother, Max Tillery.

The Rev. Frank C. Brown, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, of which Tillery was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be former school friends. They are Herbert Stevenson, Bill Stevenson Alton Prater, Robert Barnes, Paul Humphries, and Dr. James Cabeen.
