SSGT JAIME  VILLALOBOS

The status of four Michigan men was changed from missing in action to dead. They were Army Set. Jaime Villalobos, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Villalobos of Ecorse; Army Cpl. Patrick M. Steel, son of Mrs. Dorothy Steele of Roseville; Army Spec. 4 Merl R. Meadows, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dillard L. Meadows of Lincoln Park; and Army Pfc. Bernard J. Osterberg Jr.. son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard J. Osterberg Sr., of Jackson.

Grave marker for Jaime Villalobos in Block 34, Section 955, Grave 4, Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock (Wayne county), Michigan.

Jaime re-enlisted in the Army on 26 June 1967 and began his tour in Vietnam on 14 February 1968.

Initially reported as missing in action, the status of SSgt Villalobos was changed to killed in action at Nui Ke (Hill 618) 17 KM South of Hue (Thua Thien province), Vietnam on 25 May 1968.
