Pfc Wade was
initially interred in
Plot A Row 8 Grave 153 in
Molenhoek American Cemetery, Holland, a temporary
facility employed until the war ended and plans for a permanent cemetery
could be made.
When the Margraten cemetery was
opened, Henry Wade was laid to rest there among many of his comrades. |

Pfc Wade was killed in action on September
20, 1944 in the Kalorama area of Beek. His awards include the Purple Heart.

is adopted by the Roes family of Margraten. |
After
Herman Roes and his family adopted Pfc Wade's grave, an article about it
appeared in the Static Line newspaper.
Iris Fowler, a British-born war bride, noticed the article and
wrote to Mr. Roes to tell him what she knew of Henry Wade. |
