LISTED MISSING SINCE INVASION

 Sergt. Maurice J. Stockberger, aged 23, who entered the army just eight months ago and went overseas as a paratrooper early this year, has been missing in action in France since June 6, the war department has advised his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George H. Stockberger, of 228 East Battell Street.  No details were given in the telegram.

Sergt. Stockberger, born in Mishawaka, Nov. 18, 1920, was first sent to Ireland and just before the invasion was transferred to England.  He attended the St. Monica Catholic school here and was a member of that church.

He has two brothers in the military service, Sergt. Herbert S. Stockberger, who is with the army air forces ground crew at Pine Castle, Fla. and Corp William J. Stockberger, who is in training with a tank outfit at Camp Cook, Calif.  He also has two brothers at home, Joseph and Thomas Stockberger, and seven sisters, Misses Grace, Eloise, Marie, Georgia, Doris and Roseann and Mrs. Edward Davis, all of Mishawaka.
