Pvt James Wiley Smith
January 1937, in  basic training at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii with the 21st Infantry. He later volunteered for jump school and ultimately became 1st Sgt, Co. B

1965, Ft. Bragg, NC.
  Jim completed one last jump on June 6, 1968, the 24th anniversary of D-Day.  He retired later that same year.

Oliver High School, Pittsburg, PA (1942) joined Co B in late September 1944

   Photo was taken by George May at the Latin Quarter in New York City  Maurice is second from right, swigging beer from a bottle.
 . The group was enjoying a final leave before shipping out and had gone to the famed Stork Club earlier but left as it was overly crowded.  They ended up at the Latin Quarter instead where the cigars and drinks seen in the photo were provided gratis by the club manager.

Sgt Maurice J. Stockberger, Initially reported MIA Maurice was listed as KIA on 18 June 1944. Anyone with any information regarding Sgt Stockberger, please contact his niece, Margaret Wilson, 7067 North Holiday Drive, Galveston, TX  77550.
