Grave marker for Robert L. Mauck in Mausoleum
Crypt, Memorial Park Cemetery and Mausoleum, Lima (Allen
county), Ohio.
Robert registered for the draft in Lima (Allen
county), Ohio on 30 June 1942 and was inducted into the army
at Camp Perry, Lucerne, OH on 10 March 1943.
On 30 October 1943, Pvt Mauck was transferred to
Co B, 508th PIR.
He was reported missing in action as of 6 June
1944 but his status was changed to seriously wounded in action
as of 1 July 44. He returned to duty on 4 September 1944.
Pfc Mauck was evacuated as a non-battle casualty
on 10 January 1945 and transferred to the hospital's
detachment of patients on 31 May 1945.
He was discharged on 2 January 1946.. |
