Camp Cromore and Area

Irish Village
a wintry scene with trees barren of leaves  reveals classic cottages and village church

Ireland, 1944
probably taken at the Giant's Causeway, pictured [standing, front [l-r] Irish woman, unidentified trooper, Jim Wynne, [standing, rear, l-r] Irish child, Arthur F. Dreager.

"Taken One Sunny Morning In Ireland"
wrote Jim (perhaps that was an unusual event).
[l-r] Arthur F. Dreager, George Luperchio, Wilkerson, Cpl Jim Wynne.  Someone later wrote "Received May 4, 1944", a date that was about 2 months after the 508th left Ireland

Nissen Hut
was typical of the accommodations in Cromore
