POW POSTCARDS

The postcard below was sent to Paul Harper [relationship unknown] by Robert Harper, "Gelangenennummer" [prisoner number] 85-200 .  Robert was held at Stalag 7A in Moosburg, Bavaria where over 130,000 Allied soldiers were imprisoned. It was liberated by the U.S. 14th Armored Division on 29 April 1945.

Based on 1940 Census data, a Paul Harper lived 2 1/2 miles north of Robert's home in Indianapolis. They were of the same age and therefore may have been cousins.

Spelling errors are as they appeared in the actual text.
