GENERAL INFORMATION
The Regimental C.P.
(Open Bar) is located in the building between the APARTEL and the motel,
in the lower level adjacent to the indoor swimming pool.
You
will be on your own for Breakfast on Thursday and Saturday mornings and
for dinner on Thursday and Friday evenings. Restaurant information
will be posted in the Reception Area.
In
event of inclement weather on Friday, a planned alternate schedule will
be implemented.
Meal
tickets have been provided for the Welcome Breakfast, the
Picnic/Barbeque, the Dinner Dance, and the Memorial Brunch. Please
remember to bring them with you to the different activities. They
will be collected and are necessary in order for the Committee to obtain
an accurate headcount.
NOTES
1. Be
sure and bring your meal tickets. Busses will commence loading at
0845 0815 hours. Bring your cameras and wear
comfortable shoes.

LTG Jack V. Mackmull, Commanding General XVIII Abn Corps and Fort Bragg,
and Mayor Bill Hurley of Fayetteville, will join us for Breakfast and
present welcoming remarks.

We will be broken down into three groups and will eat in three different
Dining Halls. Cost of the meal is $1.90 per person; be sure to
have sufficient small change (one dollar bills) on hand to pay
4.
There are no planned activities for Friday night. The Regimental
C. P. Bar will be open. Information on recommended restaurants
will be posted in the reception area.
5.
Be sure and bring your meal tickets. Busses will commence loading
at 1115 hours. The capacity of the 82d Abn Div Museum is about 100
people at a time. In order to avoid excessive waiting time, we
will stagger the attendance. The last two busses in the convoy
traveling to the picnic will peel off and go directly to the Museum; the
ret will go to McKellar's Lodge. later, after all have eaten, we
will run shuttle busses back to the Museum for anyone who wants to go.
If you don't want to go to the Museum, don't get on the last two busses.
6.
We have invited a selected group of Troopers from the 1st and 2nd
Battalions of the 508th to be out guests at the picnic. Get around
and talk with them and make them feel at home.
7.
Be sure and bring your meal tickets. Coat and tie for the men is
required at the Officers Club. Busses will start loading at 1745
hours.
8.
The Hodge and Sink Rooms are located on the second floor of the
Officer's Club. Pay-as-you-go Bars will be open in both rooms.
The photographer will available and we will try to take as many unit
photos as possible during the Cocktail hour. Please start moving
down to the Lafayette Room, located on the first floor not later than
1945 so that everyone will be seated for Dinner promptly at 2000 hours.
We have entertainment programmed and the schedule is tight.
9.
The colors will be posted immediately after everyone is seated; please
remain standing for the pledge to the Flag and the Blessing by Chaplain
(Col) (Ret) Corbin Ketchersid. The 82d Chorus will honor us with a
concert immediately after dinner. Following this, there will be a
brief intermission (10 - 15 minutes) while the tables are cleared and
"pit stops" accomplished. The CG of the 82d Abn Div, MG Jim
Lindsay, will make a brief presentation on "The 82d Abn Div Today".
This will be followed by a present ton of trophies and awards and the
Retiring of the Colors. Then the Roy Roach Band will play for our
dancing pleasure.
10.
A minibus will be available at 1200 hours and for the rest of the
afternoon and evening to transport people to the airport. The
Regimental C.P. Bar will be open shortly after 1200 hours for those who
wish to remain and socialize for a while.
