FRIDAY, JUNE 4, 5, 6, 2004
STE. MERE EGLISE, FRANCE - PERSONALITIES

Winning Smile
on this young lady's face shows how happy she was to snag Bob Speers' autograph and he was happy to oblige

Sign Right There
in fact, Bob was willing to sign anything other than a blank check

Field Jackets
proved to be fair game as well.  The man said that his multi-colored Mohawk haircut was done especially for this occasion

International Group
Man on left was from Liverpool and his chum on the far right was from Manchester.  The bloke in the middle was an Aussie from down under

Still Passing Out Chewing Gum

Ernie Lamson presents a stick of gum to French native, Hugo Guilbert.  Neither one knew the name of the other until Hugo's mother contacted this web site's 'Jumpmaster' and contributed photographs taken by her husband in Ste. Mere Eglise.
This photo had been simply labeled "American Veteran" and there was no knowledge on her part that the people in this photo were members of the 508th contingent.
. After 'Jumpmaster' surprised Karine by providing the names of all the people in the photo, Karine responded with a surprise of her own, "That is my 7 year-old son Hugo!"
