Just Dropping In
This parachutist seems to be floating down from the skylight above

Purposeful Deception
this 'chutist is a dummy, one of many dropped to fool the Germans into thinking that many more paratroopers were landing in Normandy.

LZ Normandy
expended gliders litter the landscape on 6 June 1944 as the invasion was well under way.

WACO CG4A Glider
restored to like-new condition was one of 512 to land in the Normandy area. Built in the USA, it has a wingspan of 80 ft., length of 46 ft. and carried up to 1 1/2 tons of cargo.

Youthful Passengers
are an accurate portrayal of the age group that comprised "the greatest generation" as they set out on their mission

No Frills, Lots of Thrills
