Monument
Unveiled is an impressive obelisk set on a stone base and the plaques are set
on granite slabs.
Much to Graham Lawson's chagrin, he reports, "There is a
mistake on
the wording on the plaque facing the south. Somehow they Inscribed .. OF
THE 82nd AIRBORNE, It should have read ATTACHED TO THE 82nd AIRBORNE."
Graham says he is going to find out who is responsible for this error,
and, we presume, attempt to have it rectified..

Pulling Guard Duty
Graham Lawson wrote: "On the eve of the opening ceremony I had the
privilege of taking post (standing guard) overnight at the memorial.
That indeed was a great honor for me."
