Dear Mrs. McCall:
I extend to you my deepest sympathy on your tragic loss. John's personality,
enthusiasm and ability impressed me greatly on the number of
occasions I met and talked with him, and I am proud to number myself
among his many personal friends.
John's untimely death was a tremendous loss, not only to his family
and friends, but to the University and the field of research in which
he specialized and in which his work had just begun.
Sincerely yours,
