Diethelm Stobbe was born in Germany in October 1925 and
immigrated to the U.S. with his parents when he was six months of age.
The family sailed from Bremen, Germany aboard the SS
Columbus which departed on 5 May 1926 and arrived in New York City
harbor eight days later.
