The 62nd Troop Carrier Squadron,
314th Troop Carrier Group flew the 508th 2nd Battalion into
Normandy. Six V's of aircraft, 3 to a 'V', formed up for the assault
flight. Designation - Drop Zone 'N' with a Green Light time
of 0208. Similar serials of aircraft flew the other 2 battalions
that night.
