"EXPRESSIONS OF THOUGHTS!"

Poetry is one's emotions Written on Paper

Culture is the finer qualities expressing themselves.

Common Courtesy is something to be cherished, few people have it.

Facts alone are like a skeleton, only they don't create as much excitement.

Phylosophy [sic] is like Major Bowes radio program, "Where she goes, no one knows.

Few People Work toward a beginning, Host of them Work toward an end.

ARRIVAL HOME TELEGRAMS MAY BE PLACED DAILY
IN LIBRARY DURING REGULAR LIBRARY HOURS

IF HUMAN CIVILIZATION is still to be saved it can be only through energetic awakening and alliance of the young people of the World, who sweep f;om the path of progress the monstrous idols of the past, the poisonous prejudices, the tyrannies, the lies. I have little hope of change in the generation to which I belong. But my spirit and m heart have always been with the young who travel always in the forefront, who never tarry, who carry in themselves faith in the future and who want the sufferings of the old world to be destroyed and a new world, happier and better, to arise.

ROMAIN ROLLAND

NO man should swallow defeat. For what a man swallows he digests. What he digests goes through his system--in part at 1east to his head. And if the defeat idea gets lodged in a mans head, he is licked indeed.

ARMY SEIZES JAP BANKING SYSTEM
In a surprise move, American soldiers today took over 21 Japanese banking houses including the Bank Of Japan, These hanks were part of the great combine that exploited Japanese conquests. All financial houses capable of supporting a War economy have been seized. Great crowds of depositors crowded outside the banks weeping and lamenting. These people soon dispersed however, when assured by Col. Kramer, Macs. financial advisor, that the deposits of private individuals would be held sacred, and in time the banks would reopen but in most cases, only long enough t0 pay off and go out of business. Banking on an international scale is Kaput in Japan for some time to come.
