Elected To Gnomes

Gillespie Of Walhalla Is
Among Those Honored
By Election

   SPARTANBURG, Nov 6 --- .,  . Four Wofford college seniors were elected last week to membership in the Senior Order of Gnomes, an honorary organizations composed of the four outstanding seniors.
  This year's group, consists or John Ballenger, Spartanburg; Allan Brockman, Chester; Fred Gillespie, Walhalla, and Leslie Mills, of Prosperity. John Ballenger, of Spartanburg. In addition to being a member of this organization, is also business manager of the Bohemian, student annual, president of Alpha Lambda Tau, social fraternity, secretary-treasurer of the Scabbard and Blade, honorary military fraternity and secretary of the Blue Key.
   Allan Brockman, of Chester, is business manager of the Old Gold and Black, student newspaper, as well as secretary of Lambda Chi Alpha.
   Leslie Mills, Jr., of Prosperity, Is president of the student body, president of Alpha Kappa Phi, social fraternity, corresponding secretary of the Blue Key, former president of the junior class, a member of the International Relations club, Sigma Tau Alpha and the Scabbard and Blade
   Fred Gillespie, of Walhalla, is cadet lieutenant-colonel of the R. O. T. C, president of the senior class, captain of the Scabbard and Blade, treasurer of Kappa Sigma. social fraternity, vice-president of the W1fford chapter of the Blue Key and a member of Chi Beta Phi.

Wofford Students
     Parade Tomorrow

SPARTANBURG, Nov. 9 ---Wofford's R. O. T. C. unit will participate in the annual Armistice day parade in Spartanburg November 11, according to Lieut. Col. Charles C. Loughlin, head of the military deportment. Wofford's unit, led by National and R. O. T. C. colors, will be commanded by Cadet Lieut. Col. Fred Gillespie of Walhalla.
   Gillespie will be followed immediately by his staff, composed of Ralph Epps, cadet major and Bryan Livingston, captain.
   The four companies of the R. O. T. C. will proceed to Golding street, where they will join the main body of the parade. The procession will move west toward Morgan square and will pass the reviewing stand at 11 o'clock on the square,
   When the parade halts at 11 o'clock, a firing squad composed of sophomores, will fire three volleys ol shot in tribute to the occasion.

Collegiate Who's Who

   SPARTANBURG De 8— Ten Wofford college students have been elected to represent Wofford In the eighth edition of Who’s Who Among Students In American Universities and Colleges.
   They ere: Leslie Hills of Prosperity, George each of Greenwood, Allan Brockman of Chester, C A Wilkes of Chester, John Ballenger of Spartanburg, Charles Pork of Varnville, Ralph Epps of Sumter, Fred Gillespie of Walhalla,, John Thomason of Drayton and Leslie Infinger of Harleyville.
