Francis E. Flanders
in high school graduation photo, Northborough, Massachusetts, Class of 1938 He enlisted in the Massachusetts National Guard even prior to graduation and entered the Army on active duty in 1941. He graduated from OCS at Ft. Benning and was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in May 1942. By D-Day Francis was a Captain and C.O. of F Company when they parachuted into Normandy. He was KIA on June 7, 1944..
