"Standing In The Door"
Larry Palmer in painting by Sid Eels
Lawrence E. Palmer, (l) and Jesse (Bud) Evans, B Co. happily pose in a post-war setting.
Jesse is especially happy as he had been captured twice by the Germans but escaped both times.
Larry Palmer, in fatigues, managed a winning First Battalion baseball team. In Germany, he planned and developed the playing field, acquired (scrounged) the equipment, recruited the players and coached the team.
