A Personal Moment
as no trip to Normandy is complete without a visit to the grave of
his C.O., Captain Ruddy |
Who Would Have Thought
that there would-be a day when an American paratrooper pinned wings on a
newly graduated German contemporary?
On June 7th, 2008, at the Iron Mike ceremony, Jim Wynne (508th), Bob Murphy,
Bill Sullivan, Julius Eisner (all 505th), and Chris Heisler (507th), were
given the honor of pinning parachutist wings to newly qualified paratroopers
of various nations |
A Quiet Moment
as Jim Wynn pays respects to his fallen Company commander, Capt. Gerard
A. Ruddy, KIA June 6, 1944 |
