Kenneth Lewis and Zane Schlemmer
at the door of Ken's home in Chef du Pont. Zane is holding a
photo that Ken described as "me dressed up in all original airborne kit
that I owned at the time of the photograph".Ken
wrote: "To the right of Zane's head in the stonework there is one bullet
head still in the stonework and several bullet strikes around that area,
my house was defended by Germans stationed here and recorded as attacked
by 82nd troopers and 325th glider troops. Inside my house upstairs there
is a larger possibly .50 cal head still in the stonework." |
