C of
508 P.I.R. He was Squad leader of the squad I was assigned to,
and being a corporal at the time I was his assistant squad leader.
I knew virtually nothing about being an assistant squad leader at
the time so he was great help to me, hence we developed a friendship
which was second to none."

cap) and Post Commander Gregory Hall. Both served in the 508th PIR
during the Vietnam-era. Commander Helm served with "B" company, 2/508th
and Commander Hall served with "C" company, 1/508th.
