Gotta Love It
this WW-II era Jeep complete with canvas top is in pristine condition

"Hooked Up"
Cpl. Barry Halter is an eager 82nd Airborne re-enactor and will soon attend a jump school to satisfy FAA regulations.  Once certified his fondest wish is to participate in a jump over Normandy

Suited Up
Other than the mustache, he appears to be authentically attired.

Man of Different Cloth
the man standing next to Barry is wearing a camouflage uniform and puttees, the laced web covering over the lower legs

Bus driver Too

Treasured Autographs
were written by many men of the 508th on this re-enactor's reserve chute.  Here Ernie Lamson adds his name to the trove.

Herman Jahnigen
pens his signature on the chute

Modern Jumper
Staff Sergeant Bredbauer explains how current Army jump equipment works, including an automatic chute deployer in case a jumper is rendered unconscious

Equipment Failures
can happen and the sergeant related his own experience on a mission jump that forced him to go to his reserve chute.
Unlike WW-II equipment that used separate main and reserve chutes, today's gear incorporates both chutes into one pack.  If the reserve is deployed, the main automatically separates and drifts free.
