THE LIBERTY ROAD MILESTONE
 
The base of the Borne contains an urn of soil taken from key sites along the Liberty Road. Each of the five sides of the base contain plates denoting which sites the earth was taken from.

Shows its original place at kilometer 35, (route number) N175 on the Liberty Road

 St. Mere Eglise plate has special inscription re the donation and commemoration of this Borne (click on photo to enlarge)
