I received your letter a few days ago and was sure glad to hear from you. When I received it it happened to be raining. Your envelope that was enclosed got a little messed up but I’m going to try sending the letter in it anyway. I hope you receive it OK. Their isn’t much news around here. I’m not good at talking French so I just don’t get around much anymore. Thanks a million for writing 3 times a week your letter are about all I have left of any morale. So keep them coming.
