1330 hour --- More equipment brought in from the beachhead and fields.
1300 hour --- Div S-2 into CP.
1430 hour --- CO 2d Bn with a group of men are across the river, started attack across river.
1450 hour --- Div S-2 out with CO.
1500 hour --- Telephone communication in with Div, 507, 505, 319, 325th.
1535 hour --- Gavin into CP.
1545 hour --- Gavin out.
1630 hour --- 124 German prisoners taken by 3d Bn at Carquebut.
1700 hour — Prisoners brought to vicinity of CP, interrogated and evacuated to beachhead.
1800 hour --- M/13 to Div. Effective strength 20 Off and 407 EM – S-1.
1815 hour --- M/14 to CO Div, cemetery 300 yds in from road at 343936 --- Div.
1820 hour --- M/15 Strength 39 Off and 513 EM – 2d Bn.
1830 hour --- M.16 Location of water points --- Div.
1900 hour --- M/17 to Div. Large enemy force attacking 2d Bn --- CO.
1925 hour --- M/18 to Div. Etienville, Carquebut, and LePort now clear of enemy, LePort occupied by Co H. 124 prisoners captured at Carquebut --- CO.
1930 hour --- CO ordered that patrolling and resupply to9 2ed Bn be done tonight. Rations and ammo to be carried by men.
1935 hour --- Some of the seaborne personnel arrived, had walked from beach.
2000 hour --- Firing from across the river continues.
2028 hour --- M/19 to Div. First AT mines located 356965 to 357967 --- CO.
2155 hour --- M/20 to 2d Bn. Submit strength --- S-1.
2200 hour --- M/21 to all Bns. Submit S-1 and S-4 reports.
2300 hour --- Little enemy activity.
2400 hour --- 2d Bn ready to move at any time.
2400 hour --- Strength report 50 Off, 603 EM.

9 June 1944 |
0130 hour --- Shanley contacted, made arrangements for resupply by foot troops. Capt Simonds to be in charge.
0215 hour set for the hour of contact.
0145 hour --- M/1 to Div. 4 Off and 65 EM of Co A 2 mi east of Picauville, report to Hill 30.
0150 hour –- CO departed for bridge.
0200 hour --- 2d Bn with supplies moved out.
0430 hour --- CO returned from bridge.
0430 hour --- 2d Bn group carrying the supplies could not get across the bridge at Chef-du-Pont.
0440 hour --- CO returned to bridge again.
0500 hour --- 2d Bn group returned to CP.
0545 hour --- CO in from bridge.
0600 hour --- Our artillery firing on enemy positions across the river.
0700 hour --- Patrols that went to contract 2d Bn in.
0720 hour --- M/2 to Div. estimated enemy killed first three days --- 75.
0730 hour --- Request strength report from 2d Bn.
0800 hour --- Report from 2d Bn is that they received 31 casualties during this night.
0850 hour --- Brig. Gen. Williams of 90th Inf Div into CP. 90th Div to pass through and cross the river.
0920 hour --- Gen. Williams out.
0930 hour --- CO out to Div CP.
1000 hour --- CO 3d Bn reported to be in 2d Bn CP.
1055 hour --- CO in.
1100 hour --- M/3 fr Div. Enemy using stripes on planes also --- S-2.
1110 hour --- Status report from 2d Bn.
1153 hour --- Bn 325th plus remnants of 507th south of Amfreville. 1 Bn 325th plus artillery crossing the river at 313957 to form bridgehead for the 90th .
1157 hour ---M/4 to all Bns. Enemy using stripes on planes also --- S-2.
1200 hour --- M/5 to CO. Send one Bn to road junction 300 yds w. of 507th CP to reinforce 507th area.
1240 hour --- S-4 and ammo officers into CP.
1300 hour --- Get positive identification of enemy paratroops by their pay books.
1350 hour --- 3rd Bn and part of 2de Bn moved out of this CP for 507th area.
1510 hour --- 2d Bn CO called for artillery fire on an enemy platoon NW of their position.
1530 hour --- CO going through to 2d Bn with the 3d Bn.
1600 hour --- Truckload of rations and supplies started for 2 Bn.
1714 hour --- 2d Bn strength 32 off and 532 EM.
