1420 hour --- Message received by telephone of meeting of unit COs and
Div fwd CP at 2000 hour.
1530 hour --- CO in.
1600 hour --- Capt Bridgewater and Lt. Moss working on decorations..
1700 hour --- Lt. Frigo returned from the hospital.
1800 hour --- Exec out to Rear Train and all Bns in turn.
1930 hour --- Exec in, did not contact Bns.

The regiment remained in Division reserve taking
advantage of the opportunity to take showers and clean up personnel in
preparation for the return to England. |
12 July - 15 July 1944 |
The regiment departed from
Normandy across Utah Beach, utilizing two LSTs for transportation to
Southampton, England, and thence to Nottingham by train.
